Giving Opportunities

Giving Opportunities are one way that the Foundation promotes worthy organizations or programs that are seeking funding for specific projects. Foundation staff continuously seeks programs and projects that improve the quality of life in our community and region. As a service to our donors we will highlight Foundation Leadership initiatives and innovative projects of interest to our donors. Priority will be given to organizations working in partnership with the Foundation that may not have received coverage in other Foundation publications and those projects that focus on sustainable efforts and community solutions. You can support any of these projects through the Foundation by giving online or by calling us at 225.387.6126.

Along the coast, oystermen, shrimpers and fishermen are at a standstill, their boats harbored, maybe for a decade or more. In response, we have established charitable funds to do whatever is necessary to save the birds, the fish, the turtles – and to make sure the people of the coast get another chance to make a respectable living.
