Inaugural Cohort of Nonprofit Board Fellows Announced

Baton Rouge, LA – The Baton Rouge Area Foundation today announced the inaugural cohort of its Nonprofit Board Fellows, a program of the Foundation’s Center for Nonprofit Excellence. The program provides aspiring nonprofit board directors with skills, insights, and tools to guide area nonprofit organizations effectively.

A cohort of 30 potential board leaders have been selected to participate in the inaugural cohort. Fellows are selected based on their willingness to serve nonprofits as a board member, previous service experience, and interest in advancing the nonprofit sector. Topics include understanding governance, fiduciary responsibilities, supporting nonprofits’ fundraising activities as a board member, and more.
